Who Are... Folkestone Invicta FC?
After forming in the mid-1930s, Folkestone Invicta are a relative newcomer to senior football and only moved into their current ground on Cheriton Road in 1991 following the demise of Folkestone FC. A six-year stint in the Southern League was ended when Invicta switched to the Isthmian League Premier Division in 2004, and stayed put until 2008 before relegation to Division One South. The only meeting of Invicta and Stevenage Borough resulted in an away win for Boro' in the FA Trophy 3rd Round, but not quite the 8-4 result against Woking a couple of years before that ended the Kent team's FA Trophy run at the same stage.
