HISTORY

The first thing to point out is that the current Dunstable Town, which competed in the Spartan South Midlands Football League as of the 2011/2 season, is a different incarnation to the Dunstable FC that came up against Stevenage Borough in the 1986/7 FA Trophy.

Dunstable FC was formed during the 1975/6 campaign to take over the fixtures of a former Dunstable Town outfit, but was then demoted to the bottom division of the Southern League in order to compete in its own right. It was that club that came up against Boro', but folded in 1994 due to their own financial issues.
