HISTORY

Cranfield United's first foray into senior football appears to have started shortly after the conclusion of the Second World War with a stint in the South Midlands League. After a 17-year break between 1960 and 1977, the club returned to the competition until they finished rock bottom of Division One in 1996.

Another brief break ensued until 2001, when United made a third reappearance in the South Midlands League, starting in Division Two before earning promotion to Division One with a 7th place finish in 2003/4... we don't know why either.
