Wheelchair
Facilities for Disabled Supporters:

According to the Cambridge United website, standard matchday admission charges apply to away supporters with a disability. Carers are permitted to attend free of charge if necessary.

The away end has six wheelchair spaces in front of the stand, with pull-down seats available for personal assistants. The club has four headsets available for travelling supporters with a visual impairment, but there are no dedicated facilities for those with an ambulant disability.

Away fans who have a disability aren't required to book in advance, but the club does ask that all special requirements are made known before arrival so they can catered for. Tickets for the South Stand enclosure can be bought at the front of the ground.

Beer
Pre-Match Pint:

You're not exactly spoilt for choice when it comes to pubs near the ground, which means you might prefer to remain in the city centre before heading up to the ground. And that's if police advice doesn't end up with away fans being "discouraged" from drinking in Cambridge.

There is a supporters' club at the ground, but we find it unlikely that Boro' fans will be let in. We could be wrong, of course...

Travel Information

Distance
Distance (By Road):

30 miles

Car Route
By Road:

For what will be one of the shorter journeys for an away game, head north on the A1(M) to Junction 9. Here you will need to take the A6141 to Baldock, where you need to connect with the eastbound A505 towards Cambridge and Royston.

Once you reach Royston, take the northbound A10 to where it meets the M11. Here, the road number changes to the A1309 as it enters Trumpington and onto Cambridge city centre. Once in the city area, turn onto the A1134 for the city centre, before moving onto the A603.

Within a short distance, you will need to turn back onto the A1134 towards Newmarket. Very shortly after taking the A1134 again, you will see a right turn for the ground.

Parking
Where To Park?:

Early arrivals will most probably find enough space at the club's car park next to the ground, although it costs £3 for the pleasure of doing so. Other options include parking opposite the ground in Ditton Walk and Ditton Fields.

Train Route
By Train:

Station: CAMBRIDGE
Services to: STEVENAGE

It's a bit of a walk from the station to the football ground, and it's likely to take you more than 30 minutes to make the journey. When leaving the station, you'll want to turn right out of the main entrance - assuming paths are there.

You should arrive on the bend of Devonshire Road, where you'll need to turn right. Remain on Devonshire Road - passing the Devonshire Arms (left) - and then turn right onto Mill Road to cross back over the railway. Continue past the Earl of Beaconsfield and The Sea Tree.

Turn left onto Sedgwick Street - this will become Cromwell Road after around a third of a mile, but continue regardless. And at the roundabout, bear left and remain on Cromwell Road for a further 0.4 miles.

Once you arrive at the junction with Coldhams Lane, cross over and head into the recreation ground, turning left to follow the path of the small waterway on your left. If you're on the right track, you'll soon see the larger Coldham's Brook join you from the right.
