A brief membership of the Isthmian League signals the extent of Chalfont St Peter's ascent up the league pyramid over the years, with participation in Division One. However, the 2010/1 campaign brought success in the Spartan South Midlands League, and with it, promotion to the Southern League.

There have been a number of occasions over the years where Chalfont St Peter have come up against Stevenage; the last being in the 1992/3 FA Trophy. Boro's record against the Buckinghamshire side is quite formidable, with many wins outnumbering the draws/defeats column.
