During the club's brief stay in the Conference, Brunton Park was easily one of the largest grounds in the division and boasts a capacity of nearly 17,000 – perhaps more modest in comparison to recent League One contemporaries.
First opened in 1909, the ground retains plenty of character from the long history it has experienced. And one particular design feature, for whatever reason, means that the East Stand is located off-centre in relation to the halfway line. This ensures it continues past the end of the pitch at one end.

Disabled Facilities: Admission prices for a wheelchair and carer is £4, although the section has limited space and Carlisle United has advised that tickets be purchased in advanced. Wheelchair spaces can be found in the Story Homes Stand among others, and is located at seat level. Ambulant disabled fans can be accompanied by a carer free of charge, although evidence of full time carer status is required by the club. Again, the club advises advanced purchasing and ambulant disabled fans pay more than wheelchair-bound fans due to the ability to use facilities above pitch level. Pre-Match Pint: Located almost next door to the stadium, Carlisle Rugby Club has been known to open up its bar to away fans and caters for families. The Beehive on Warwick Road might be another option - certain games prohibits away fans entering, although you'd imagine that Stevenage is not one of them. |
