HISTORY

A new club may have been formed to represent Canterbury in footballing circles, but the original Canterbury City met its demise in 2001 after nearly half a century in existence.

The club left the Southern League in 1994 to rejoin the Kent League. But a dismal 2000/1 campaign, with no wins and a goal difference in the negative by more than 100 was the last act of the club as its former self.
