HISTORY

Despite having a long history, Burnham FC have only competed in senior football for around four decades now after joining Hellenic League Division One A in 1971. A brief merger with Hillingdon FC was attempted in 1985, but Burnham and Hillingdon FC reverted back to Burnham FC just two years later as the club sought to forge a path through the Southern League.

After four seasons back in the Hellenic League in the mid-to-late-90s, the club pushed their way back into the Southern League and were placed in Division One South & West following a restructuring in 2006. Curiously, the only meeting of Burnham and Stevenage Borough was in an FA Cup Qualifying Round. Despite a win for Boro', Burnham progressed after being awarded the tie due to an ineligible player being fielded by Boro'.
