Initially formed as Old Bracknell Wanderers towards the end of the 19th century, Bracknell Town was elected into the Great Western League in 1959 after being designated as a 'New Town' and continued to progress their development into the Surrey Senior League. During the 1970s, a move into the Spartan League (and later the London Spartan League) saw the club secure league title success in 1983 before joining the Isthmian League.
In 1986, the club reached Division One of the Isthmian pyramid - the peak of the club's progress - but were unable to consolidate it. The club was placed in the Southern League in the reorganisation of 2003 and was nearly relegated from the Southern League; repreived only by the demise of other clubs. However, a terrible 2009/10 campaign saw the team finish with just six points, having conceded 187 goals. Select an option from the left for more information about this club |
