HISTORY

The original Bexley United, having changed their name from Bexleyheath and Welling in 1963, joined the Southern League from the Kent League in 1959 and spent four years in the Premier Division. However, relegation to Division One in 1965 saw the club spend the remainder of the decade in a malaise.

Division One South beckoned in 1971, where the club remained to its apparent demise in 1976. A year later, Welling United took over the Park View Road stadium.
