HISTORY

Berkhamsted Town were dissolved in 2009 after efforts to clear the club's debt failed and its long-term future deemed unsustainable. Having been formed in 1919, the club rose as far as the top half of Isthmian League Division One North but could go no further.

It was unable to sustain its position in the division and slipped into the Southern League Eastern Division within two seasons. Berkhamsted Town also made it to the 2001 FA Vase final at Villa Park but were defeated by Taunton Town.
