Right then, are you prepared? Got the car full of petrol and the will to drive for hours? Because you're gonna need it. Imagine going to Morecambe, but tack another 40-odd miles on top. To start, whichever way you prefer, get yourself heading north on the M1, bearing left onto the M6 and acquaint yourself with this motorway - you'll be on it a good while.
Continue north on the M6 past Birmingham, past Stoke, past the M62 and past Wigan. At Junction 36, leave the motorway and head onto the A590 - the first exit on the roundabout. You could be brave and attempt to shave off the corner by taking the A6 around the fringe of Morecambe Bay, but this is the more simple method.
Stay on the A590 - this involves what appears to be leaving the dual carriageway and taking the first exit on the roundabout after about four miles. If you continue straight along the dual carriageway off the M6, you'll end up on the A591, so be alert. Remain on the Barrow-bound A590 for about 25 miles through the picturesque Lake District. You'll be coming into Barrow-in-Furness from the north.
Shortly after entering Barrow, there'll be a left turn for Wilkie Street where you'll find the top end of the ground. Turn right around the ground into Holker Street.

Once you are in Holker Street, you can either search for street parking in the nearby residential areas, or investigate what looks to be - from aerial images - a car park on the right where Holker Street kinks to the left. There also appears to be access to the A590 from this car park.

You'll have to be up early for this one - the rail journey to Barrow is over six hours long according to National Rail Enquiries. Travel north from Stevenage to Newcastle, connect there to Manchester Airport and onto Barrow. From the station, it isn't too much of a trek thankfully. Leave the station from the car park entrance, and turn right up Holker Street. The ground is a matter of yards up the road on the left.
