Forming out of the seething rage that accompanied the decision to take Wimbledon FC from its home to footballing bastion of Milton Keynes in 2002, there could be many similarities to be found about the rise through the pyramid of AFC Wimbledon. Touching base in Kingston-upon-Thames and going onto acquire the home of Kingstonian, the Dons set themselves up for their assault on the non-league establishment.

League title after league title guided them towards the ultimate aim of Football League status in such a short space of time, and the promotion from the Blue Square South in 2009 could be seen as the penultimate step towards the first major target of the club's existence. With plenty of fans backing them, the Dons are set to pose a decent test, while also find out exactly what they are made of themselves.
